how are YOU doing today?

the relevance of mental wellbeing in the workplace is gaining tremendous momentum. We rarely talk about our work as merely "work," we talk about work-life balance, toxic relationships in the workplace, opportunities for personal development, and what we can do to manage healthy work stress.

'Mental strength is not about positive thinking. After all, overly positive thoughts can be just as destructive as having overly negative thoughts. Mental strength, in particular, is about thinking realistically and rationally. It's also not about chasing happiness, but about making the right decisions that allow you to get the best out of yourself. Mental strength does not require ignoring your emotions, it requires understanding how your emotions affect your thoughts and behavior.'
Amy Morin - psychotherapist and TEDx speaker

who takes responsibility here?

wellbeing is a shared responsibility of employer and employee.
specifically, for employers, this means that they have a duty to create the context in which each employee can reach their full potential and become the best version of themselves.
this is one of the topics where I like to advise and support organizations to realize this within their specific context.
how this context is filled in, depends of course on the strategy, the sector and the values of the organization.
the employee in turn has the task, within the context created by the employer, engage in actions that contribute to improving their own well-being
employees can ask themselves whether they feel their job still suits them and whether they get the right energy from their work that gives them job satisfaction.

aspects of wellbeing

hold your power in your hands. Don't let others determine your self-worth, and dare to say no. Don't view yourself as a victim of circumstances, but make as many conscious choices as possible. Even if you put your life at the service of others, you have limits. Stand up for yourself and your values.
I'd be glad to help you or your employees in your path to self-mastery!

engaging in a physical activity pays off in so many ways: exercise triggers the production of hormones and neurotransmitters that give a feeling of happiness: endorphins, norepinephrine, dopamine and serotonin.
So it pays to find a sport that you like, to take the stairs instead of the elevator, or to walk the dog every day. If you have a sedentary job, stand up from time to time and walk around, for example to get a drink.
in need for some extra support? studio artemis also offers private yoga lessons, don't hesitate to get in touch for an inquiry.

maintain your connections with people who are important to you. Spending time with your loved ones is good for you. Even in today's pandemic, a walk with a friend or family member can be very fulfilling. Or why not meet up for a themed dinner at studioartemis.kitchen's living room restaurant?

spiritual well-being is about the extent to which you feel good and included in the society in which you live.
it is also about self-acceptance & personal growth.
you view yourself and your life in a positive way. You recognize, acknowledge and accept the different sides of your personality - both the good and the bad. You have the impression that you are constantly developing. You are open to new experiences. You have the impression that you are realizing your potential.
